REYNISFJARA, ICELAND ELOPEMENT

black SAND & GOLDEN night ELOPEMENT

W/ NICOLE & MARK

And just before midnight, we found ourselves here — at Black Beach in Reynisfjara, Iceland.

At this time of year, the sky stays bright a little longer and the golden light lingers almost through the entire night. So we drove out late in the evening to this extraordinary place, taking in the stillness of the landscape and letting ourselves be guided by the surroundings.

Between quiet, intimate words, the first tears and the sound of the ocean in the background, we shared the most beautiful moments together. Basalt cliffs, a pastel-colored sky, black sand beneath our feet and puffins nesting in the rocks — all of it makes this place feel so incredibly special. Makes Iceland feel so special.

An elopement here feels different. It can be raw and wild, yet at the same time quiet and deeply intimate. The weather is impossible to plan, and still we were gifted with the most beautiful sundowner. In the end, only what truly matters remained: two people, a very special connection, their promise to one another — and a place that will forever hold that moment.

ICELAND ELOPEMENT  PHOTOGRAPHER – BLACK BEACH REYNISFJARA

I first connected with these two beautiful humans through Instagram and instantly felt a special connection. In Corralejo, Fuerteventura, I picked them up and we drove out to Popcorn Beach in the late evening.

When we arrived at this magical place, we walked barefoot through the “sand”, climbed over rocks and wandered somewhere between the Atlantic Ocean and dusty roads that make this island feel so unique.

We laughed, danced and captured the most intimate moments. Watching the sun slowly sink towards the horizon, we used that soft golden light to collect the most beautiful memories. One of those days where everything simply unfolds on its own — nothing staged, nothing forced.

Just the ocean and the wind meeting two people holding onto each other as if this moment could last forever. And in a way, it does. A story of a very special connection, somewhere between sunset and moonlight — and endless gratitude for this encounter.
